Special Events & Offers:

Dear P.S. 122 Friends,

We have yet another spectacular week at P.S. 122! Upstairs, Stan Won't Dance's production of Sinner premiers on Wednesday followed by an opening night after party at Via Delle Zoccolette. "Intoxicating, full of power and urgency... everyone should see this!" -Dance Europe.

Meanwhile downstairs The Pumpkin Pie Show's Junta High weaves a story that's politics not-as-usual. Imagine a skewed "twilight zone" pep rally in the age of the War on Terror, where cheerleaders are suicide bombers and teachers get taken hostage by the a/v club. Take advantage of the two special post-show events!

Junta High was featured in the Village Voice's Spring Arts Preview:

"Social anxieties, competing cliques, and the rival pressures to stand out and conform can certainly make high school feel like a battlefield. But arch-monologuist Clay McLeod Chapman replaces the figurative with the literal in this tale of warrior football players, terrorist cheerleaders, and guidance counselor hostages. Hungry March Band supplies the music."

So buy tickets now and don't miss these very exciting shows and events. OH! Once again - the ticket price is the same no matter where you buy it - online, over the phone, or in person. So buy tickets online at Theatermania ahead of time and avoid long lines at our box office!!

Thanks and we'll see you soon!

Schoolhouse Roxx presents
"Dangerous Woman" A Performance Art Double Bill

March 30-April 1,
9 p.m.

Tickets:
$15

From March 30 to April 1, P.S.122's Schoolhouse Roxx Series presents a double bill of dangerous women. Internationally known performance artist Nao Bustamante will be performing her new work, entitled Hero and rising downtown art star Dynasty Handbag brings her own peculiar blend of music and deranged monologue to the P.S. 122 stage.

Nao Bustamante is an internationally known performance artist originating from the San Joaquin Valley of California. Her work encompasses performance art, sculpture, installation, video, pop music and experimental rips in time. Hero works live performance, Video projection, and karaoke. Bustamante's character transforms, via video, from a gentle princess who has lost her puppy in a lush fall forest into an icy nefarious hag trudging through the snow.

Dynasty Handbag is the one woman music/comedy/performance/meltdown portable electro-ballad vehicle of Jibz Cameron (of the indie rock bands Dynasty, The Roofies, Camp Winnarainbow). Originally from San Francisco, in 2005 she relocated to NYC to escape an obsessed prisoner pen pal. Within 5 months, with a little hard work and a lot of heart, she was crowned Miss Lower East Side. On stage Cameron performs with a backing track containing original songs and dialogues of her innermost personal thoughts and horrible feelings.
