Ads marks a new departure in the work of celebrated downtown auteur Richard Maxwell. In collaboration with photographer/cinematographer Michael Schmelling and Wooster Group technical director Bozkurt Karasu, Maxwell asks whether theatre is possible without a human presence. Can verisimilitude be enhanced by technology? How can we address these questions in a live performance?

    David Zambrano's Soul Project

    Soul Project is about the soul in all its manifestations: spiritual, abstract, musical, personal.
    Drawing inspiration from evocative intensity of iconic soul singers like Aretha Franklin and Patty LaBelle, choreographer David Zambrano and his performers create a body language that's full, eloquent, and emotionally profound.

    Zambrano will participate in a free Roundtable Discussion with other i get lost platform artists on Jan 23rd at Baryshnikov Art Center at 4 pm.
