Dear ,
With just 22 days left in our 30th Anniversary Season, we're encouraging all our friends to spread the word about an action-packed RetroFutureSpective Festival that runs from June 11 - 25 and includes performances by John Zorn, The Wooster Group, Eric Bogosian, Murray Hill, Julie Atlas-Muz, Jack Ferver, Neal Medlyn as well as a look back at PS122 on film featuring rare footage of Spalding Gray, Blue Man Group, Ethyl Eichelberger and many other seminal artists from the last 30 years of 122.
In addition to all the activities over the next 2 weeks, we are also challenging you to help us raise $70,000 by June 30. Please tell your friends about the many benefits of supporting Performance Space 122 including ticket packages to our performances, and exclusive invitations. We are incredibly thankful for individuals like you who are passionate supporters of the work that we do. Each season brings with it a new set of challenges and our Friends make it all possible.
Please visit our Friends with Benefits page to learn more and help us reach our goal.
Also, beginning on June 17, the downstairs space will be transformed into the LES Lounge where personalities of the past, present, and future can come together with host Lori E. Seid to mingle, reminisce, perform and subterfuge. You'll want to come for a drink and stay for the night...
For the past 30 years, Performance Space 122 has brought audience members edge-melting contemporary performance, please continue reading to learn more about the upcoming performances this season and enjoy a video that the staff made recently where we each chose one word to describe Performance Space 122.
Warmly,

June events at PS122
Through June 11
We See Fireworks
We See Fireworks is an ever-evolving installation, an intense archive of voice and light. In room full of shadows, the stories of strangers are whispered into the darkness to reveal hundreds of intensely felt memories of remarkable past performances. From amazing theatre shows to religious ceremonies, fetish clubs, lovers' meetings, fair grounds and accidents, they spin as if the moment were still unfolding, words searing into your consciousness, until their memories become yours. Like a firework, an experience of theatre burns brightly in the moment, yet its traces, like sulphur and smoke, remain hanging in the air.
Saturday, June 11
Tim Miller with Brigham Mosely, Kamelle Mills and Katie O
Performance Space 122 with support from the National Performance Network Community Fund created a seven month mentorship for three emerging queer performers to work with internationally acclaimed performer and PS122 co-founder Tim Miller.
