OPPORTUNITY: Performance Space 122 seeks interns in Institutional Giving
TIME: May 2013 – August 2013
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: Candidates should be detail oriented, flexible and able to work independently with strong writing skills. The position will focus on stewardship, tracking and reporting on grants from New York, National and International Funders who support presenting and commissioning of live performance, digital media and capital campaigns. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: Candidate must be motivated, work quickly and independently, with an interest in any of the following areas: arts administration, communications/press, social media, or sales. He or she must have intimate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and be very internet-saavy. Candidate must be detail oriented, have very strong organizational skills, and possess a desire to understand the ins and outs of audience development, marketing/sales, and grassroots cultural organizing. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: Candidate must be motivated, work quickly and independently, with an interest in non-profit arts management. He or she must have intimate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, be detail oriented, have very strong organizational skills, and possess a desire to understand the ins and outs of day-to-day operation of a non-profit arts organization, board relations and challenges particular to performing arts presenter. Internship is for 10 -15 hours/week based on availability

He or she must have intimate knowledge of Word and Excel, be detail oriented, have very strong organizational skills, and possess a desire to understand the ins and outs of development, fundraising and grassroots cultural organizing. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: Ideal candidates must be motivated, work quickly and independently, with an interest in not-for-profit producing and arts management. He or she must have intimate knowledge of Microsoft Suite, specifically Word and Excel, have excellent oral and written communication skills, and be knowledgeable in respect to the contemporary performing arts. Candidates must also be detail oriented, organized, and possess a desire to understand the ins and outs of line-producing. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: An intern to assist with video documentation and post-production of live performances at PS122. The position involves everything from camera work, to editing, to managing web content. Video editing/web experience is a plus but can be taught to the right candidate. Please email alex@ps122.org.
